The International Geotextile GmbH participated as exhibitor in the Deutschen Straßen- und Verkehrskongress (German road and traffic congress) for the first time this year. Innovative solutions for road construction, infrastructure and traffic planning were presented from the 28th until the 30th of September.
Holger Neisser, Roland Golze and Julia Zimmermann introduced IGG’s system solutions for median strip greening and building of noise protection walls to the numerous visitors and exhibitors.
iGGvital MSB median strip greening is a multi-component system consisting of a vegetation blanket, a fleece and a mineral wool mat which was especially developed for the greening of extreme and plant-hostile locations. The system prevents the undesirable settling of fast growing woody plants and is very low-maintenance at the same time so that the long-term costs for care and maintenance are very low.
Noise protection walls play an increasingly important role in road construction as well since more resting opportunities for truck drivers will be provided in the future. The noise protection system of IGG reduces the noise on both sides through its concrete inner core and the stones on both sides.
Next to IGG’s remaining product range, these two focuses were of particular interest to the visitors of the stand. As a result, valuable contacts with engineers, administrations, universities, associations and other companies were made in Bremen.
